Hear 'Ye, all me Junior Captains:

As I sit down at me table under gale winds this morning sipping me Captain's coffee, mi thoughts are drifting to the last time I took me pen in hand. Although me mind is a bit overwhelmed with images of jerked jibs, fluffy foresails, salty seabreezes, and foul-weather foot gear, I have a few galley teasers to blow you down. Soon I must bid you all fond adieu for this academic year, and set sail for a long summer's voyage.

The Fisherman's Catch of the Month includes word of active '73ers in the Dartmouth Alumn: Association of Eastern Massachusetts: Secretary Garrett Rasmussen and executive committee member Thomas Gibson. Seems club membership is at an all-time high, and both are being kept busy with a sundry of activities ranging from meetings on the statement of principle issued by the Trustees of the College to club reunions.

With but one month to go in the Alumni Fund, the Class of 1973 participation index is showing an extremely respectable second to 1975. In contrast, though, the dollars received from '73ers is significantly higher than any of the other late-seventy classes. Your perfor- mance is to be praised; but every bit counts, and both Jim Sullivan and I would like to encourage your continued support.

As for participation in class news, I am a bit chagrined. The Cap'n has tried his very best to animate your cooperation - with little success, though. Next year, I ask that you don't become an old skiff 'o cold air. This column is your sounding-board ... its zestiness being determined by the amount of news you forward. So, all you landlubbers, rally 'round the mast, and hoist a fair-weather pennant for full speed ahead.

By your leave, me mateys, I remain, respectfully,

Class Agent,

Secretary, 6 Glover Square Marblehead, Mass. 01945
