Belated congratulations to Dave Squire who was married to Pat Loeb of Stamford, Conn., on Friday, August 21 in Rye, N. Y. David is the vice president and director for environmental affairs at Brandeis University. He and Pat will be living with their children in Weston, Mass.
Robert Cronson of Mundelein in Lake County, Ill., is interested in entering the college teaching field. Bob who was an attorney and corporate executive was formerely an administrative aid to the Illinois Secretary of State and was recognized as one of the finest administrators in state government. He is currently vice president of the Chicago Corporation, an investment banking firm.
From Durham, N. H., comes news of Norman W. Platine who is the new Middle School principal of the Oyster River School District. Norman comes to this position with a rich background in education covering 21 years of public, private, urban-rural and overseas educational settings. He has been a teacher, counselor, test director, athletic director, principal and deputy director of a job corps center. His experience includes principalship of grades 7-12 for two years at New Delhi, India. He has designed many innovative courses and directed summer school programs as well. A recent article in Business Week Magazine highlighted the tremendous responsibility assigned to Eugene Cafiero appointed as group vice president of U. S. and Canadian automotive operations for the Chrysler Corporation. His outstanding performance as vice president of Latin American operations where he had doubled sales in three years was a large factor in earning him this promotion.
Fred Sistare writes from Houston, Texas, saying he would have loved to attend the Yale game reunion if we could provide transportation. Fred has been in Houston about 14 months now and sounds very enthusiastic about it, especially the winters. Fred is still with the Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Co. where he had served in Massachusetts for many years.
