This will be the last column until next fall, and I'll be darned if I know what happened to the time since last September, but it flew by.

I had a nice letter from one of my roommates - Lee O'Keeffe - in which he told of attending one of the monthly luncheons of the Dartmouth Club of Cape Cod. I quote: "In the middle of the season of exodus to warmer climes, the group was somewhat smaller than normal. 1934 was strongly represented by Frank Everts and Ed Hill of South Yarmouth; Emmons Brown of Truro and Lee. Frank's Phi Beta mind quickly computed that '34 comprised 10 per cent of the attendance. I was delegated to report this to you. This indicates, I think, that '34s are more rugged than most - or perhaps poorer?" Lee also said that he and Harriet were presented with their fourth grandchild by daughter Karen - a girl named Lyssa. Congratulations to you both and to Karen, and thanks much for the letter, Lee.

I had mentioned before about the fun dinner we had with the Nanoses and the Robbes. Well, we guys followed that up with a golf game at JDM Country Club a few days later. I hate to admit it, but here I've been playing all winter, and those two bums beat me. I must say they bargained for and got a lot more strokes than they deserved, but we had a great time.

Talked to George Collins, but unfortunately June and I came home before we had a chance to see their new home and new boat. We'll definitely make it next year, George.

We had dinner with Jill Fogarty, Jack's widow, while she was visiting friends in Hollywood, Fla. She was staying at the home of the illustrious class secretary of '32, Whip Walser.

A press clipping tells us that Tom Cass, "retired executive vice president of Container Corp of America, was elected a director of Fibreboard Corp in San Francisco." Just couldn't stay retired, right, Tom? Good luck on the new appointment.

I have a few address changes for widows of classmates and I'm sure they would love to hear from those who knew their husbands. I'll just list them and you take it from there.

Mrs. Jesse MCI Carter - GPO Box 818, Princess Bldg., Hong Kong, BCC

Mrs. William P Clough, Jr. - Springledge Farm, New London, N.H. 03267

Mrs. John G. Fogarty - 1509 Oak Ave., Evanston, Ill. 60201

Mrs. Charles W. Henry - Fishing Creek Road, Box 117 B. RR #2, Cape May, N.J. 08204

Mrs. Robert C. Palmer - 788 Park Shore Drive, Naples, Fla. 33940

As far as I know, addresses for others remain unchanged, and the 40th reunion book is a pretty good reference.

That seems to be about all the news for now. Unfortunately for me, we were unable to attend the class officer's meeting in Hanover this year. This, in spite of a personal letter from Ed Brown written after a going-away party for Harry and Pru Gilmore (moving to Hilton Head). 1 don't know whether the '34s at that party got carried away with the idea of writing, but I certainly am the loser, since we just had too many commitments this time so had to miss the fun.

See you in the fall!!!
