Bill and Tina Colehower recently visited Goody and Shiela Goodman in Newport, Maine, where Goody owns an electrical (wholesale) supply company. Just by chance, Dave Allen stopped there also, so they held the first annual Class of '59 Golf Tournament. Dave is a business consultant in Connecticut - Dave also won the money. Speaking of mainiacs, Ted Bachelder and wife Rae moved back to Maine about six years ago while their children were still young enough to enjoy the pleasures of the Maine countryside. Ted has combined his investment and sales background into a successful real estate business.
I'm sure most of you know by now that Dave Gavitt was unanimously selected as head coach of the United States Olympic basketball team for the 1980 games in Moscow.
Gil Griffin, currently a vice president at CBS Inc., has been appointed by New York Governor Carey to the State Emergency Financial Control Board. This board has the awesome responsibility of reviewing New York City's budgets. Good Luck!
Sig Ginsburg has recently assumed the position of vice president for finance and treasurer of the University of Cincinnati. Before that time, he was vice president-administration and planning of Adelphi University.
Tom Aley is at lonics as general manager of their instrumentation group (analytical instruments for water pollution measurement and process control). Tom's wife Francie had a baby girl a year ago and is expecting their fifth (and last, says Tom) in November.
Bruce Andrews, wife, and four children still reside in Wilton, Conn, and he continues to work for Westvaco - a 20-year man!
Bob Weston flew to Hanover from California to attend the June 24 retirement party honoring Professor Paul Zeller. Bob reports that he had a living ball, sang like mad with the other exglee clubbers, and got a first-hand view of how great Dartmouth still is (after not seeing it for 17 years). Dick Watson was also back for the festivities.
Read Heydt and wife Babbie are living in Alexandria, Va., where Read is entering his senior year at Virginia Theological Seminary. Read wins the Tax Planner of the Year Award as his wife gave birth to a son, Charles Erskine, on December 31, 1977.
