Mary Ellen Donovan has joined the staff of the infamous Valley News, West Lebanon, N.H. Mellen was at first responsible for news coverage in the Orange County and White River Valley towns, but now is concentrating on feature writing. Ms. Donovan had been employed by the Environmental Studies Program at Dartmouth and had been working as a free-lance writer for the past year.
Rumor has it the Triple D. Club (Dartmouth Disco Dancers) have effectively organized a protest and have been granted the use of Webster Hall for their Friday and Saturday night disco dances. Once again, a special group taken care of.

Dave Davenport sent a lovely post card from Colombia where, "My company had a stand at the XII International Fair of Bogota. I was there for 19 days, unfortunately with no time for myself. To remedy that situation, I will be returning in Sept. (1978) for a couple of weeks of R & R in Bogota and Cartagena, enjoying the sights and local handicrafts and such. Otherwise, I just passed my second anniversary in Florida. Two years of life in the tropics! What a life!" All will agree.
Dan "ummmm" Murphy has returned to Boston after working in Dallas for Salomon Bros., the investment securities people. Murph, (better known as Slim) relays that he ran across Jud Porter when Judson was in Dallas. That's not much news, but Murph tries. Jud is still, or was as of July, a foreman in a Chicago factory.
Mr. Rugby, Pete Cowan, is living in Newton, Mass., and is in his second year at B.C. Law. Also at B.C. Law is John Reidy, who doubles as a football coach along with "Goose" Gleason at St. Sebastian's High School in Newton. Great team. Goose, they say, is at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. But you can't believe everything you hear.

While on the subject of exotics, Kim Conroy was recently in a small Honduran village where she invented mango puree, a tropical version of applesauce. Explained a Westport, Conn., newspaper, "Combining expert nutritional and business advice with local raw materials has resulted in the construction of a thriving cannery cooperative which provides employment and income for 18 village families." Congrats Kim. You must be rich - like the puree.
