Congratulations to Dave Cassidy on his appointment as vice president, manufacturing, of Extracorporeal Medical Specialties Inc., a Johnson & Johnson affiliate. This company makes and sells artificial kidney dialysis and other critical-care medical products. Dave and family live in Princeton, N.J.

The Class of 1958 can be especially proud of its contributions to current Dartmouth activities. The work of enrollment officers, who arrange and conduct interviews and write reports on applicants to the College, is both an essential and highly enjoyable contribution of time and talent. Dr. Steve Rheingold, of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., serves on the Dartmouth Alumni Council, as does Rod Frates of Oklahoma City, Okla. Steve is also a member of the Council's committee on enrollment and admissions and serves as the district enrollment director in his area. Joe Scott is the area enrollment director for the Los Angeles area and Wallace Smith is the district enrollment director in the Boise, Idaho, area.

Carl McCall is on the executive committee of the General Association of Dartmouth Alumni Associations and Clubs, and Phil Bell of Scottsdale, Ariz., is president of the Phoenix Alumni Club.

Craig Haines, of Mystic, Conn., is the job development officer for the Southeastern Connecticut association; Stan Beiley is liason and academic affairs officer of the Miami club; Paul Jameson is treasurer of the Fort Lauderdale, Fla., club; and our newsletter editor, Larry Weltin, is also president of the Dartmouth Club of Georgia.

In Wellesley, Mass., Dave Chapin is the club secretary and Andy Thomas is job development officer, while Mamoru Mitsui serves as president of the Merrimack County, N.H., association, John Graf acts as job development officer in the Manchester association, and Colin Norberg is president of the Lakes Region club in Laconia.

Gershen Abraham is treasurer of the northern New Jersey club and Al LaBrecque is secretary of the Monmouth County, N.J., association; Ted Furber is president of the Toledo, Ohio, association; John Ryan is job development officer for the Tidewater club in Norfolk, Va.; and Bill Duvall is treasurer of the Western Washington club.

In the Los Angeles area, Joe Scott serves as liason officer for the Southern California club and Tom Towse is the job development and career advisory officer. Pete Kenny is president of the Orange County association.

Our Class is widely recognized for the record of the superb group that puts together our Alumni Fund drive each year. The men working in these other jobs also deserve our appreciation and recognition. Make the Alumni Fund contribution early this reunion year and get involved personally in some phase of college activity. Personally, I loved interviewing because of the contact with stimulating young people.

I spoke to Joe Scott recently. He regrets there is no reunion visit in his plans but tells me that two years ago he loaded wife Connie and two kids in a VW convertible and drove from Los Angeles to Hanover with a stop in Detroit. They logged over 7,000 miles in 17 days. Joe also mentioned that his alumni club sponsors an annual party for entering freshmen to introduce. them to current Dartmouth upperclassmen and women.

Tom Towse owns a Los Angeles CPA firm and lives in the fabled Hollywood Hills.

Dr. Bart Apfelbaum practices urology among the famous and the merely rich in Palm Springs, while Dr. Alan Gazzanage is a Santa Ana heart specialist.

If anyone needs the address of a Dartmouth friend, the College sends me current addresses for the secretary's master file. I'll be delighted to furnish available information, particularly if you. include some news with your request.

See you in Hanover June 15-17, 1979.
