Chuck Winslow and his team are in the process of mounting their final effort to bring 1979's Alumni Fund campaign to a successful conclusion that we can be proud of as a Class and as part of the Dartmouth College constituency.
We again bring to your attention the '57 mini-reunion scheduled for the football weekend of the 1979 Dartmouth Night, October 26 and 27. The Class has a block of rooms reserved at the Holiday Inn in White River and President George Southwick would be most pleased to assign one of these rooms to you. George can be contacted at Arthur Young and Co., One Boston Place, Boston, Mass. 02102. It would be great if you could firm up your fall plans now and give George a ring or drop him a line to let him know to expect you.

James A. Rollins is a candidate for selectman in the town of Shapleigh, Maine. Jim teaches biology at Nasson College and has never previously sought elective office, although he has been active in the town affairs. He was involved in the development of a zoning ordinance and is currently the town's representative on the Saco River Corridor Commission and on the Shapleigh Conservation Commission. Jim's major concern is that the town of Shapleigh, which is facing inevitable growth, will be able to handle this potential problem so that the growth and development will be of lasting benefit to the community. This is always a tough issue and we hope Jim gets the opportunity to deal with it as a selectman.
John W. Roberts has been executive director of the Civil Liberties Union of Masscahusetts since 1970. The American Civil Liberties Union lost Jewish membership when it supported the right of American Nazis to march through the predominantly Jewish community of Skolie, Ill., where many survivors of the Holocaust now live. John recently was a pulpit guest at the Temple Emanuel of Worcester, Mass., where his subject was "An Appeal to Jews Following Skokie," an effort to re-enlist the active support of the Jewish community for the American Civil Liberties Union.
