Chan White sent the good news that he has improved every day since the mishap when he fell and broke two vertebrae last fall. He said that he is now getting around without a cane. To update us on the White family, he reported that one of his three daughters is now on a sixmonth travel tour in England and on the Continent.

Signs of summer arrived when a note from Howard Buffinton brought the news that they are looking forward to the class get-together in June.

A card from Mildred (Mrs. Earl) Cranston gave an excellent resume of Earl's life. After China, Cambridge, Mass., and Colgate, they went to California. Then he came back to Dartmouth as professor of religion and in 1949 went to U.S.C. as dean of the School of Religion; that school is known today as the School of Theology located at Claremont.

The last bit of news is unfortunately sad. Just too late to get it into the March issue, I received late word of the death of Porter H. Blaney last October.
