On my frequent-fortunately or otherwise -visits to the Dartmouth National Bank, I often meet Ernie Draper's son Larry, whose desk is right out there in the public eye. He tells me his dad is recovering well from his operation, a fact I can confirm through having met him and Holly at most hockey games.

And speaking of hockey, at least ten classmates were on hand as Dartmouth clinched the Ivy League title by beating Harvard in an exciting overtime game. Hall Colton,Don Alexander, and Phil Hastings were up on the bus from Nashua, joining "locals" Colton,Hage, Lane, Radasch, Draper, Hawkins, and Muzzy. This has been another fine season, and we head for the E.C.A.C. play-offs as I'm finishing up this column for the Magazine.

What about our former class treasurer of 15 years, Hall Colton, you ask? Money just seems attracted to him, as to a magnet. He now serves as treasurer of the Dartmouth Club of Nashua.

While visiting on Cape Cod the other day, I was able to telephone Al and Marianne Dodd. Bad driving in one of their frequent snowstorms prevented a visit! (Notice a certain New Hampshire envy here.) Well anyway, they are getting nicely settled in their new home in Osterville. After a vacation in St. Croix, Al will be starting another season as our head agent for the Alumni Fund. He's counting again on the loyal support of a large contingent of assistants and of all of the Great Class of 1935.

Vacation trips seem to be in the news of late. Tom and Ginnie Lane are showing up again at Hanover activities after a safari to Kenya. Tom confided to me that he was one of just six men in a party of 25 people organized by the Smith College Club.

Put and Louise Kingsbury were in Hanover recently with the Dartmouth Club of Keene for a seminar on the New Hampshire primary and a hockey game. Soon they'll be off on another trip, this time to Spain and Nice, where they'll visit with their son. They'll be back in time for class officers meetings, the first weekend in May.

Lex Schnee has retired from the State Department after having served for the past 15 years in Congressional relations. He and Lala will continue to live in Chevy Chase. Here we pause to note with sadness word recently received on the deaths of Bud Hinman,Edmund Burke, Norm Scott, and Ted O'Brien. Obituaries on Bud and Ed will be in this or the next issue; notices for Norm and Ted were in the March Magazine.

It's not too early to be thinking of Hanover and the 100 th anniversary fall football season. Our fall reunion will be on the weekend of September 26-27 for the New Hampshire game. Both Harvard (October 18) and Yale (November 1) play in Hanover this year. Also of special interest to those farther south, Dartmouth starts a series with William and Mary in Williamsburg on October 11.

If these notes seem brief to you it's because they are. Hope to hear lots more from lots of you!
