This month's mail brought a package from Jerry Bowe containing several dues notices with news from several classmates. The latest contender for the Urban Cowboy Award is Jeff Badmington, far from his native New Hampshire, who is working for I.B.M. Data Processing in Houston, Tex. Last September 1, he married Denise McBride (who hails from Atlanta) in Bermuda. Jeff also reports having run into fellow Alpha Delt's Doug Mac Donald '75 and Dave Anderson '71.

Bob Grondine finished Boston University Law School in May 1980, having taken his third year of law at Harvard Law School in the East Asian legal studies program. Bob passed the New York Bar in July and is working for Baker & McKenzie in New York. He plans to be in New York for two years before going to work in the firm's Tokyo office.

Jerry Levine has "finally finished with Stanford" and has received a Ph.D. in applied physics. He is working for JAYCOR, a company which subcontracts with the government. Jerry is with the Alexandria, Va., office, working at the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, D.C. He also spends a lot of time in Boston, representing the Naval Research Laboratory at M.I.T. where he is running an experiment in conjunction with graduate student Kirk Hackett '77 and Professor Christine Celata who is currently on leave from Dartmouth. Jerry claims that, despite the weather, it is good to be back on the East Coast and that he is "anxious" to hear from people.

The Boston area is also home to Dave and Martha Evancick who reside in Norwood, Mass. They recently moved to Norwood wherfc Dave is with William Underwood Company as a marketing manager. Previously, he was with Gillette in Boston. Dave and Martha (University of Vermont '76 and sister of Chuck Gluek) became parents in August to "a 'good-time' girl by the name of Jennifer Ellen." Living in Massachusetts lets Dave get to New Hampshire often and allows him to keep in touch with Dartmouth and Tuck friends in New England. Dave mentions H. T. 'Tuck' Bailey '73 (Tuck '78) and Tim McManus '75 (Tuck '78) as part of the Boston crowd.

The mail also brought the announcement of the marriage of Chris Baldwin and Judith Rutsky at Tavern On The Green in New York on January 11.

A correction: In November, there was a story about Jay Conger in this column. My "sources" for the story were incorrect. Jay is living in Cambridge, Mass., and is working on a doctorate in organizational behavior. Jay earned his M.B.A. at the University of Virginia. He would love to hear from old buddies and invites classmates to look him up in the Boston area. The story in the November issue should have been written about Jay Craver. Apologies to both Jays for the mix-up.

Finally, I am still with General Foods in White Plains where I was recently promoted into the corporate financial planning and control area where I develop financial policy and do some of the research and "grunt" work in assessing financial policy. Anyone wishing to pass along news can contact me at home (201) 895-2911 or at work (914) 683-2492.
