Most of you have probably received by now the preliminary attendance survey for our 15th reunion on June 16—19. This mailing is the first fruit of the efforts of our reunion committee, which met September 24 in Baltimore at VVKR, the architectural firm of which Bruce Rich is a member. I urge all. of you to return these cards to the committee as soon as you can so planning can go forward.

Jeff Zimmerman and Bill Reynolds are cochairing the committee. Members are Bill Lamb, Paul Killebrew, John Bash, Jerry Petitt, Dick Lacey, and Bruce Rich.

Reunion will center about the Ripley-Woodward-Smith dorm complex, with a class tent behind Sphinx. We will also have use of the Bema for part of Saturday night, after a class dinner in the main dining room and adjoining porch at the Hanover Inn. Watch your mail and these pages for further details.

I understand from' our treasurer that, as of the end of September, some 50 class dues checks had been received. Let's keep those dues rolling in (along with items of news for yours truly!).

I received a letter late in September from Phil White, who's practicing ophthalmology in Sulphur Springs, Tex. He settled there after graduating from Tufts Medical School in 1971 and spending nine years in the Army Medical Corps. Phil's wife Zella has opened a quilting and fabric crafts shop in Sulphur Springs, to which a sewing machine dealership will soon be added. Phil also has a business on the side, dealing in antique and collector cars and parts, thus turning a hobby to good and, we hope, profitable purpose. "So, as you can tell, we are taking Mr. Reagan quite seriously by jumping headlong into entrepreneurship, Texas being fertile ground for it." On top of all that, Phil has kept his Army connection intact, commanding a reserve medical unit in Shreveport, La.

A 1982 graduate of the College, Philip H. Weber of North Wales, Pa., has been named recipient of the firs't annual Alexander C. Nagle III Award. The award was established in memory of Alec Nagle by the Cable News Network of Atlanta, Ga., of which Alec was a founding producer. The award recognizes significant achievement in broadcast journalism and audiovisual communication. This year's recipient was an English major, news director of WDCR and WFRD-FM, and organizer of the Dartmouth Election Network which covered local and national elections in the fall of 1980 and February of this year.

Jack Harris has been elected assistant vice president in the trust division of Manufacturers Hanover Trust in New York. Jack joined "Manny Hanny" as an investment manager just this year, after working for Neuberger and Berman, Fidelity Bank, and INA Corporation. He holds an M.B.A. degree from Harvard and is an Army veteran.

Sandy McCague of Keene, N.H., has been named vice president and general counsel of Peerless Insurance Company in Keene. Sandy graduated from Boston University Law School in 1973 and became a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter in 1977. Before he joined Peerless in 1979, he had had six years' experience as in-house counsel with two other insurers. He belongs to the American and New Hampshire Bar Associations.
