The recent loss of Brisy Brisbin brings to mind members of Palaeopitus, the honored and respected student leadership in our undergraduate years. If anything seemed detrimental to Dartmouth,

Palaeopitus was against it and that was enough for the entire student body. Palaeopitus classmates were Brisy Brisbin, Bob Booth, Johnny Carleton, Chick Hopkins, Frank Horan, Killy Kilmarx, StanMiner, George Moore, Had Pinney, DickStetson, and Charlie Throop. Stan Miner and Killy Kilmarx, who was president of Palaeopitus, expect to be in Hanover for our sparkling 65th reunion, June 12-14, 1987. If you want to know more about Palaeopitus, ask them at reunion. They will be glad to tell.

The class delights in the report that the Wilbur W. Bullen 1922 Memorial Fund totals $22,295 as of early October. This reflects the generosity of classmates and other friends of Bill. It also includes a munificent contribution from the Agnes M. Lindsay Charitable Fund (Boston), of which Bill was a trustee for many years. Congratulations go to Carroll Dwight for the support and work he has given on this project in memory of Bill.

Fifteen members of the Twoter clan enjoyed the pre-Penn game luncheon with contemporaries of 1921 and 1920 in the Drake Room at Hopkins Center. Ray Atwood will have the Twoter attendance in his newsletter.

Felicitations from all Twoters to Jackand Frances Dana, who celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary September 20 with a reception at the Sheraton in New Rochelle, N.Y. They are the parents of Loomis Dana, Dartmouth '49. Jack receives thanks from '22 for his many years of loyalty as he continues as an Alumni fund agent.

Bill Rex returned to his Dorset, Vt., summer home in mid-September after being discharged from the cardiac section of the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. When you read these notes, Bill and Jean will presumably have returned to Delray Beach, Fla.

John T. Inghram of Quincy, Ill., left us in sorrow when he died June 10. An obituary appears in this issue.

Your memory, of course, is sharp as a razor, but your scribe only wishes his was likewise. Maybe that's why Warren Daniell, reunion chariman, told him to mark the new 1987 calendar "June 12, 13, 14" in figures large enough to be seen without bifocals. Will someone please remind the scribe weeks and months from now what it's all about?

Right now, however, memory indicates there may be some income tax advantages in giving consideration to the 1987 Alumni Fund before the end of 1986.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
