Former class president Sheldon Prentice attended President Freedman's inauguration Hanover this summer, where he ran into Bruce Wescott. Shel also reports that John Burke has now set up his law practice in the school building where he attended elementary school in Hydeville, Vt., and that John has preserved the Softball field for the town.
Bill Schur, Fred Grossman, Jim Gottschalk, and Wade Judge are all doing well in Chicago. The most interesting news is probably that Gottch got married in February. His bride, Karen, is a teacher, and Jim is still involved in options trading. Wade is a partner of LaSalle Partners, a real estate management and development company, and is married with two children. Bill is still practicing law in downtown Chicago, although he and Donna have bought a house in suburban Highland Park. Bill reports a recent business phone call to ChrisBrewster, who practices law in Washington, D.C. Fred is also still trading options, but has moved to a new firm, First Financial. Fred also sends along word that ChipCarstensen has moved into John Einsidler's New York apartment because Chip's building went not condo but convent. It seems that the building was bought by a group of sisters; no word on whether Chip's apartment will require exorcism.
Not much other news trickled in this summer, but I do have a couple of personal items. After seven years in research and development with Arco Oil and Gas Company, I am leaving to become vice president of Strategic Petroleum, a new independent to be based here in Dallas. Meanwhile, my wife, Rondi, has been busy doing costume design and wardrobe for several films being produced here in Dallas and in Houston, including The Fig Tree, which will air on PBS television this month.
