Previous to the outbreak of fighting, Don Fennessey was a navy pilot on an aircraft carrier in the Persian Gulf. The class extends its wishes for a safe return to Don and any others involved in Desert Storm. We're also looking forward to an in-depth report from the front at Reunion in June. GaryDicovitsky has recendy moved from the development office at the University of Virginia to Princeton University. Gary will be joined in Princeton by Laura and family as soon as they sell their house in Charlottesville. DaveKonker was recently named managing director of Russell Reynolds Associates' Dallas office, and there he is active in executive recruiting for financial institutions, real estate, and senior general management.

Jesse Spikes has been making the national sports wire of late in regards to his relationship with heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield. Jesse, who is an attorney in Atlanta, was retained late last year to oversee future boxing contracts for Holyfield. Shortly thereafter Holyfield's personal attorney departed, leaving Jesse with responsibility for Holyfield's litigation and other legal affairs as well.

John Sharer sent a note with an article from the Chicago Tribune about Bill Roberts. Bill is currently the rector of St. Gregory's Episcopal Church in Deerfield, Ill, a northern suburb of Chicago. The article detailed an interdenominational project in which a Roman Catholic priest is assigned to Bill's parish. The project is a result of Bill's involvement in a bilateral covenant between Chicago's Roman Catholic Archdiocese and the Episcopal Diocese which works towards reunifying the sects while preserving traditions of each denomination. Bill and his wife, Ingrid, have been in Deerfield since 1988, and have two children, Karen and James.

Cinematographer Jon Fauer recently joined RGA/Live, a New York-based production company and film studio, as director/ cameraman. Since graduation Jon has worked his way up from camera operator to director of photography to director through a series of assignments on commercials, documentaries, and films. He has also authored a handbook on camera systems. Some of his more notable credits include the award-winning "F.D.R." segment for "ABC Close Up," "Splash," and the time-lapse opening for "Bonfire of the Vanities."

Finally, on a sobering note, Randy Stallings died of AIDS in San Francisco in February. Randy was active in the Democratic party in San Francisco and had served as administrative assistant to Mayor Dianne Feinstein. An obituary will appear in a future issue of this magazine, and the class extends its sympathy to his family. Randy was the first in our class willing to reveal AIDS as the official cause of death, but informal count suggests that AIDS has accounted for more deaths in our class than all other causes combined. One need look no further than those grim numbers to realize the toll in talent anct leadership which this disease is extracting from our society.

Many thanks to several of you who actually sent in some news this month. For my swan song I received more unsolicited news than in any month during the last five years hopefully, you'll keep it up for whomever takes over the column this summer. Dick Krant is serving as chair of the class nominating committee to prepare a slate of officers which can be voted on by the class prior to our June Reunion. The positions to be elected are president, secretary, treasurer and Alumni Council representative. The first three will serve until our 25th Reunion in 1997, and the Alumni Council Representative is a three-year term. Please contact Dick, Pete Broberg, or Dave Konker with any names for potential candidates. Self nominations are encouraged. See you at reunion.
