Among this month's news is word that Mac Barrett and his family have moved to a new home in Baltimore County and are thoroughly enjoying their new surroundings. Last October he travelled to Annapolis to see the Navy game, and "although it was a long afternoon on the gridiron," Mac writes that "seeing the likes of Joe Daly and Toni Marshall was well worth the trip."
Michael Anderson writes: "Brooke and I are enjoying our new daughter, a welcome addition after three boys. As a manager in the International Division of Whirlpool Corporation, we now reside near the 'big lake' in southwest Michigan."
Sheldon Perry is running his own custom cabinetry business called "Caseworks," which has .taken him to various parts of northern New England, Martha's Vineyard, and Long Island. He adds: "Working at home and 'shop life' is okay by me."
Finally, this note from head agent MikeMaynard: "The Class of 1970, which has historically trailed our class in Alumni Fund giving, has challenged us to a contest this year. We have accepted the challenge and will compete for most dollars given and highest percentage of giver participation. In last year's reunion campaign, our class gave $206,000 with 58 percent of the class participating, while 1970 gave $194,000 with 71 percent of their class participating. Our goal this year is $110,000th 70 percent participation. To date, we have had $33,000 in contributions while the stsrt of 1970 have given $62,000. Our class performance needs a dramatic boost from each and every one of you for 1971 to maintain its traditional leadership role in Alumni Fund giving. I appeal to your concern for Dartmouth as well as your competitive spirit. Please participate in this year's Alumni Fund and do your best with each of your individual gifts."
That's all for now. We'll be back next month.
