Once more Stan Feldberg is assuming a leadership role in Dartmouth affairs with the recent announcement of his appointment to the Board of Trustees of the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. In addition to his always generous annual fund support of the College, Stan has served as an overseer of the Dartmouth Medical School and as a heavily involved alumnus of the Tuck School. Currently he also is chairman of a $200 million capital campaign at Brandeis University, is an honorary trustee of Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, and is an overseer of Boston's Children's Hospital Medical Center. Stan has retired recently as chairman of the executive committee of the Zayre Corporation, but will continue on its board of directors. I know I speak again for your fellow classmates, Stan, when I express the deep appreciation all of us feel for your long and significant commitments to Dartmouth and higher education.

By the way, Frank, Ben Crenshaw said on a Dallas radio talk show prior to the Masters that Winged Foot was the toughest course he has played. No wonder you tear up the Lake Morey layout!

Reg and Nancy Pierce have rented three condos in Ponta Vedra, Fla., for a family reunion that will include six grandchildren. I'd love to see our cool, calm host in action in that setting. Hang in there, Nance!
Jack and Anona Sayers were in Hanover for a visit, with Jack meeting with Associate Athletic Director and classmate Whitey Burnham to begin planning for next fall's mini-reunion.
Also visiting at Pierce's were Don and Margaret Furber. They reported a recent visit in Naples, Fla., with Al Foster '45, reporting the old football and hockey-playing ex-Marine in great shape.
Bob and Jackie Kimball have returned from a visit with family in Tucson, Ariz., and have just celebrated the marriage of daughter Susy to John English in Hanover.
Your former scribe, Dune Fitchet, in preparation for an aforementioned golfing trip to Scotland in June, had the privilege of checking out the Augusta National course with Bill Craig '44. Dune reports that the layout is everything one is told and then some, both in beauty and as a challenge, particularly those glass-smooth greens!
An obituary for Ashley William Burner, who died March 14 after a brief illness, will appear in a subsequent issue.
