Raymond DeWitt Mallary and Gertrude Robinson were married in September 1923 in Springfield, Mass. They celebrated their 65th anniversary on September 17 at the Lake Morey Club in Fairlee, Vt. Esther and I are sorry that we were not able to attend. However, we are sure that we express the sentiments of all 1921 people in congratulating a very special pair and wishing them much good health and happiness. Don Morse leads a lonely life as painful arthritis prevents his playing golf and no good opponent is available for billiards.
Lois "Hicks has been laid up since May with osteoporosis. We hope that her condition is improving.
Jack Hubbell continues to help me with news. Recently, he wrote: "Basically, I am in good spirits, but sometimes it doesn't work. In 1986 I was slowed by flu and pneumonia. I guess you can say I have my 'ups' and 'downs.' I think my 'ups' are better.' "
Let's give Jack a Wah Who Wah for his optimism.
