Charles E. Moreau, 95 Harrison Ave., Montclair, NJ 07042, wrote as follows. "Chuck and Monette Moreau spent two weeks in July visiting their daughter, Susan, at her home in Fort Collins, Colo. Susan, who is the youngest child of 1921 parents, will receive an honorary MA in psychology from the University of Northern Colorado at graduation exercises in August."
The Hickses are justifiably proud of grandson Gregory Smith, UVM 'BO, who graduated from Tuck in June. He is the line coach of the ever-great Dartmouth Rugby Team, perennial Ivy and Eastern champs. They again made the final four nationally but came in fourth this year as compared to second in 1986.
Have you ever gone to a 70th Reunion? I attended the annual banquet at St. Johnsbury Academy on June 6 for all five-year reunion classes. A complete dinner was served to 596 people in the school gymnasium. Student waitresses pleased each guest with a choice of rare, medium-rare, or well-done roast beef. There was no charge to graduates out 50 years or more. Pictures were taken starting with the oldest class, 1917. I stood with Vera Montgomery from Danville and PersiS Johnson, Hewitt Moore's sister, from North Pomfret. Later I stood for a picture of myself holding a trophy for the class giving the largest amount to the Alumni Fund. And a third time for getting the highest participation rating. I received a beautiful English silk necktie, green with small steeples over 1842 in white. Truly a night to remember.
