The time has come to make your plans to attend the annual Northeast Midwinter Mini-Reunion in Boston. The date is January 20. The focus will be cocktails and dinner preceded by optional squash competition. The event is being organized this year by Steve Cheheyl, Tom Pyles,George Owens, and Bill Bogardus. For information call Bill (office: 617/965-6680).

The fall mini-reunion was a great success. Among those in attendance at the Smoyer Lounge gathering were Erik Joh who came from West Palm Beach and Ron Martin from Ann Arbor. Erik now has a job that many would envy. He is a professional referee for the Southeastern Conference and serves on call for the National Football League. Ron is now a vice president with Samsomatic, Ltd., which specializes in precision engineering of technical instruments.

In Hanover for the reception and executive meeting was Mike Tucker. Mike is an architect with a small New Haven firm. Among other projects, Mike has been working on two school libraries. Also at the minireunion were Paul Killebrew and BrucePacht who live in Lyme. There seems to be a move afoot to establish a class of 1967 community there also. Paul and Bruce report that Ed Gray has moved there. After years in education, Paul is now the director of the Lyme Recreation Program ("among about 12 things" he says he is involved with). Bruce works with the program for the developmentally disabled of the Upper Valley. Ed is publishing an outdoor magazine.

The topic of the executive committee meeting was our 25th Reunion. For those of you who have calendars to schedule that far ahead, the dates are June 18-21, 1992 (imagine that!), and great plans are already underway. Rob Kugler and Paul Killebrew have agreed to chair the event with JeffZimmerman agreeing to edit the reunion yearbook. I know they would all welcome volunteer help.

News of two promotions has reach us this month. Paul Leach has been made a partner in the Northern California practice of Touche Ross. Paul specializes in mergers and acquisitions. After serving as associate director of the domestic council staff in the Ford White House, Paul held several investment banking positions before joining Touche Ross (shows what a J.D. and an M.B.A. from Stanford can lead to).

Another classmate who did graduate work at Stanford was Richard Decker. Richard has just been promoted and granted tenure at Hamilton College, where he teaches mathematics and computer science. He has written several books on data structures. Keep sending your news.
