In 1933 Haskell Cohxi and Benjamin Levin, a fellow Harvard Law School graduate, founded the Boston firm that subsequently became Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo. During February the Boston Globe reported the death of Mr. Levin and the development of the firm. From 14 lawyers some 30 years ago, it has now grown to 200 in its Boston and Washington offices. In 1990 the total billing approximated $60 million, ranking the firm fifth nationally in the public finance business. And Harriet says Haskell now goes into the office later and comes home earlier than he used to.

Eric Malmquist, for 40 years a teacher, coach, and principal at Norwalk (Conn.) High School, received unforgettable appreciation from the community on his 90th birthday. The Men's Club held a celebration luncheon, the city sponsored a public reception in city hall, and the local press, under the heading of "Eric at 90," ran a 335-word commendatory editorial: "You have to class him as one of Norwalk's most valuable natural resources. His career as an educator has had an impact on students, teachers, and parents."
