We had another jolly minireunion and class executive committee meeting Feb. 23-25. Present at the meeting were your secretary, President Jacques Harlow, VP Ed Tuck, Head Agent Bill Carpenter, Treasurer Ben Shaver, Newc Eldridge, David Taylor, Jack Kent, Len Matless, Al Mitchell, Bob Lindell, Betsy Pinkham, Whit Williams, Fizz Nichols, Newsletter Ed. Joe Medlicott, Bob Kirby, and Jack Newkirk. We unanimously added Tom McCabe as an honorary member of the class. Tom and his wife, Delores, have been active with us at reunions and minis for at least ten years, usually bringing his excellent sound system and many tapes and records of songs from "our time." Tom and Delores have been a great addition to our affairs, and we are delighted to have them join us in a more official capacity. Tom is a 1939 graduate of Villanova. They live up the road in Corinth, Vt. In good years they make superb maple syrup.

Thanks to Matchless (sic), Taylor, and spouses Sue and Karen, we had excellent cocktails, dinners, conversation, and laughter at the Inn on Friday and Saturday nights. Saturday Tuck showed his inclusive videotape of our fabulous 40th last summer. It was great fun to relive that happy time. Sunday morning Karen and Dave Taylor once again generously served breakfast: home made, loaded blueberry muffins, creamy oatmeal, eggs, and bacon. Another good finish to another good mini. Our next is scheduled for October 25-27. Put it on your calender. We want to see you!

Tom O'Connell writes that he and Annie, still in Seattle, hope to do better about getting to minis. He is acting, writing, and publishing, especially on birding. They teach two or three weeks each Summer for Pacific Lutheran University at the U's retreat center at Holden Village in the North Cascades. John Foster plans to retire in June, and spend more time on his old Chris Craft on Sebago Lake. He still lives in Leominster, Mass. Cal Sia's long list of honors continues to grow: Contemporary Pediatrics has named him as a child advocate, nationally: "His leadership is a major reason why the 50th State is number one in such areas as child abuse prevention and pediatric emergency care." Dave Grinnell has retired, but is still raising funds for Muhlenburg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield, N.J. He and Barbara live in Westfield, N.J. Also in N.J. is Grant Keeler (Haddonfield). Also retired, he and Betty do much traveling. On March 14 they, with Jaques Harlow, helped me feed, entertain, and house four Dartmouth Glee Clubbers when the club sang in Wilmington. Great fun! Jim Vail missed the fall mini because "both of my college boards met that weekend (Davidson and Lake Forest)." Last year he left the board of Dartmouth Medical School, but is still on boards of the local Y, Presbyterian Home, and two foundations busy retirement! JimStevens spent part of the summer in Potter Place, N.H., but missed the 40th because he had to be home in Dallas (except for a trip to Bangkok!). Douglas Mann has just become a partner in the Detroit law firm of Simpson Moran.

Bernard McPhillips died on December 18 after a brief illness. He was president of the Dartmouth Club of Oregon, 1964-67, and on the boards of several organizations for children, the Oregon Ballet Council, and United World Federalist.
