It doesn't seem possible that the summer went by so fast. Maybe it just seems so as we get older, but here we are with thoughts of fall. Our traditional (as it has become) mini-reunion is set for October 2527 in Hanover and is the weekend of the Yale football game. While it is later than usual, there may still be some tree color and there certainly will be a crispness to the air.

The weekend begins with a reception in the faculty lounge following Dartmouth Night activities and the bonfire. Music will be supplied as you greet your classmates in attendance. An excellent luncheon before the game and cocktails and dinner in the Inn after should make Saturday enjoyable. And finally a gathering for a Sunday libation at the Thomas place in Vermont before you return home. I think you will find Doris and Punchy super hosts for this event.

So how about putting this on your fall agenda, and when you receive the newsletter with instructions you'll be ready to sign up. In the good news department, Punchy has finally sold the New York place, so now he can really turn his attention to his Vermont estate.

Heard from Bob Munzenberg, who has joined die retired ranks and has settled on Cape Cod. Bob, I know you will enjoy your new career as an unemployed senior.

Doug and Gracie Parsons spent three weeks this winter in Barbados. In June, Doug crewed on a friend's 42 Beneteau from Chesapeake to Bucksport, Maine. He said he really enjoyed the trip but did miss some of his creature comforts, like a good hot shower.

Paul Erwin's wife, Cathy, writes that Paul's son has a new son, Paul Erwin IV How happy Paul would have been to know that for another generation his name will carry on.

Phil Johnson was recently honored at the California Country Club for his many years of service to the Toy and Hobby industries with an induction into the Western Toy and Hobby Hall of Fame.

Phil was one of the organizers of the Rocky Mountain Toy and Hobby Association and traveled this area for over 40 years for several large nationally known manufacturers until he retired in 1989.
