It took quite awhile to sort through all the cards and letters received from Dartmouth classmates over the December holidays. Eventually, I did come up with a couple of newsy pieces.

Bob Holmberg and family have returned to Maine from their sabbatical year in Salt Lake City. Somehow during his time away Bob managed to squeeze in skiing at Alta and Snowbird, mountain biking in Arizona, rafting on the Green River, hiking in Bryce and Zion National Parks, and even a little professional development in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Utah Medical School.

In February, Cliff Groen and Marti returned home to New York City after two years in Tokyo. While overseas, Cliffvisited Beijing, Xian, Guilin, and Shanghai, delivered a speech at an International Bar Association meeting in Hong Kong, met President Freedman in Tokyo, and worked on an important trade and investment publication with the Steering Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce. The highlight of Cliff and Marti's stay in Asia, however, was a dinner engagement with Konishki, the sumotori from Hawaii. It seems that Cliff and Marti have become real sumo devotees.

Thanks for the news, Bob and Cliff, and welcome back. Who says you can never go home again?
