Dick Jacob writes, "Momentum for our 35 th Reunion, Monday, June 15 through Thursday, June 18, is building up. Based on our responses received so far, we expect over 100 '58s and an equal number of wives and guests. Food, entertainment, and activities will be up to our class's exacting standards. An early response to the reservation and advance deposit form you've received will help to complete arrangements for a memorable 35th Reunion in Hanover."

Michael Wygant has retired from a long and distinguished career in the Foreign Service. He served as American ambassador to Micronesia, in senior posts in Australia and the Gambia, and as deputy director of the Office of Science and Technology at the State Department. Mike has joined Global Business Access Ltd., a Washington-based international consulting firm.

I am delighted to be able to report that JoeJacquet is recovering nicely from the heart attack he suffered Homecoming Weekend last October. My agent tells me that surgery was successful and he is back in full swing on the tennis courts.

Jake Jacobus continues to live in Morristown, N.J., working as a senior vice president for Shearson Lehman Brothers. Tells me that his golf game is still in the low handicap range. He is looking forward to reunion and a chance to tame the fairways of the Hanover Golf Course. Fellow golfers take note.

Ed Burns is smarter than I. He now has an office in Stamford, Conn., eliminating the commute to New York City every day. He continues his work in the investment field with Noyes Partners Inc. Wonder if that means his handicap has begun to dip?

Talked with John Armstrong after many, many a year. John continues as vice president of the Armstrong Brothers Tool Co. in Glencoe, Ill. A grandfather like me, he, too, is hoping to be able to be in Hanover this June for our 35th.

All of which reminds me of a humbling incident at our 25th Reunion. Sitting on the back porch of the old Delta Tau Delta house, I spied John Ryan walking across the back lawn. There was just one problem: I couldn't remember his name. After going through my routine of trying to coax my mind into action and failing, I finally said to him, "You remind me of an old fraternity brother of mine from Newport, Va., named John Ryan." Not missing a beat, John replied, "Yeah, Kelsey, you jerk, that's me!" Wonder how my olde mind will do in June, after another nine years have passed? Ah, the joys of moving into one's fifties.

Great to see Norm Sylvester and FrankPitzner in New York City for a class reunion planning meeting at the Yale Club. Next time you see Norm, check out his tie selection. Fred enjoys the non-commuting world as well.

Drop me a note about your doings or that of our classmates. Cheers for now. Hope to see you in Hanover June 15-18.
