Greetings from a wild and wet California; it's raining like hell, and nobody's complaining. We're pleased about the drought relief provided by the water, and ecstaticabout the skiing provided by the snow. Ten feet of new powder in Tahoe, so this column's gonna be short.

Which is convenient since there is very little news to report, and what little we have is courtesy of Treasurer Jeff Sassorossi. Thanks, Sassy! Bob Allen reports that he moved to Athens, Greece, in November after three long years in Istanbul, Turkey. He works for Pepsico Foods International as president and general manager of the Greek operations, and he held a similar post in Turkey. "I didn't get many visitors to Istanbul in late '90 and early '91 due to the unpleasantness to the Southeast. Hope to have more visitors in Greece. I've been married for ten years to Kim, and we now have three daughters. All have been real troopers in our ongoing relocation after 11 years with Pepsico. We can be called in Athens at 301/801-2727 or written to c/o Pepsico Foods International, P.O. Box 45088, Dallas, Texas."

Emily Foley Parry writes, "We have said a sad farewell to Cate and Rick Waddell, who are leaving for L.A. in January. Went to Orphans of the Storm for a dog for the kids at Christmas and found a male reincarnation of Shauna! Jasper is just as beautiful and sweet as Nora and brings back many memories of the Hanover days. Tom 11, Coley 8, Will 6, and their sister Nora 3 are ecstatic to have a dog join the family." And what a family!
