Answering a desperate call for news from the southern California contingent, Scotty Rogers has come through again. He and Loomie were just about to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on a trip down the Danube with a group from the San Diego Museum of Art. Ty and RhodaCobb have been having lots of fan and great success on the formal croquet circuit. Bud andBebe Czerny made their annual escape from the Tucson heat to a California beach retreat. Bill and Jody Coulson have just moved into a new home. Bud Barber and Martha helped the Rogerses to entertain Jane and Bill Huffman on their visit from Ohio. Bob and SallyBreech were seen recently at an invitational golf tournament near L.A. Some other ardent California golfers are the Cecil Moores and the Bruce Millers.
Joe Huber has been in Maine on a windjammer cruise. That and his other frequent excursions make him hard to catch at his digs on Coronado Island. Meanwhile, on the East Coast, Pat Timothy has been happily whacking his Tatleists and Maxflis at Ponte Vedra Beach.
Jack Fitzgerald was at a meeting in Memphis in April but had to cancel a Mississippi River cruise because of high water; that was months before the disastrous flood of '93. I wonder how our Midwestern classmates have coped with that. Jean and Jack Little, usually found on Long Island, N.Y., were in Chatham, Mass., after attending a wedding in Boston. Gordon Wentworth entertained them and us for a most enjoyable evening. IkeWeed is still participating in Ledyard Canoe Club adventures. Most recendy he led a group from a spot near the source of the Connecticut River to Haverhill, N.H. The four-day odyssey should be described in Yankee Magazine next spring.
