We received "Viking" greetings from the informal Dartmouth Club of Norway, where HansPeter Fuglesang is very active. The club recently hosted Oran Young from the Institute of Arctic Studies at the College and built a minireunion around his visit.
Reminding us of the contribution that our class has made to the legal profession are honors that Wayne Bever and Tom Rath have recently received. Both were named by Manchester Magazine among the"Most Brilliant Legal Minds of New Hampshire." Wayne practices litigation with Cleveland, Waters and Bass in Concord, while Tom is with Rath, Young, Pignatelli, and Oyer. Tom has been branching out in the media lately as a panelist on "Closeup," a weekly public-affairs television program, and as co-host of Yankee Cable Network's "State of the State." Tom was cited as a "brilliant legal and political strategist, and outstanding practitioner and political advisor." Nice praise, indeed.
On the events front, it is clear that the reception for the classes of 1966, 1967, and 1968 after the game on Dartmouth Night weekend in the Smoyer Lounge has become a tradition. Everyone should plan to come every year for a great time.
Bill Yaggy reports that mini-reunion plans are now firm for New York on April 30. The featured event will be Jerry Zaks's latest Broadway show. He is directing Neil Simon's Laughter on the 23rd Floor with Nathan Lane. Information will be forthcoming.
Finally, Bill Bogardus reports a great response to the idea of our communal 50th birthday party. So far the details include an event and dinner in Washington, D.C., on the first weekend in May 1995. What is needed now is a Birthday Party Committee and your ideas. So call Bill if you want in on the party planning.
Now, it is time to hear from some of you who haven't written in a while. Send me your news.
