The "Whitey Mays lunch bunch" held a reunion in Darien, Conn., injune with Red Heath as host to review old times. Those attending besides Red and yours truly were Dick Holt, Bud Walls,Dave Duffy, Fred Pickering, Ben Walkley, and Dave Camerer '37. All present were healthy and hearty. Ben told of time spent with Stink Davis in Florida. Bud has his condo up for sale and is contemplating a move to the Naples, Fla., area. Art Soule was touring Scodand. Russ Tolles, a regular member, sent the group an excellent memento book full of pictures of the many luncheons we shared with Whitey over the past years. Thanks, Russ.

Another luncheon was held in August, this time with Brad Jenkins and CharileHitcecock and an old boyhood friend of mine, Dick Goode, Duke '39. Brad is still busy carving his shore birds, readying them for Ginny to paint. Should any of you be in need of a gift for a special occasion, give Brad a call. You will not be disappointed. Charlie is still golfing, and when I asked him what his handicap was, he replied, "honesty."

Due to the time delay between my writing and your reading, news of this year's minireunion will be included in my next column.

Russ Dow's widow, Em, besides working in a nursing home in Palmer, Alaska, is still sorting and cataloguing Russ and Rusty's memorabilia collected over their many years together. Journals, diaries, and photos are donated to the University of Alaska, and other things will go to the Palmer Historical Museum. Em hopes to retire next year and come east to a reunion. She and Russ were with us in '9l. "The welcome mat is out to any and all of you traveling up this way."

I need your help 'cause I'm running out of news. Certainly some of you are or will be doing something of interest. If not you, what about your sons and daughters or grandchildren? Get out the pencils, pads, and stamps!

Tempus fugit! Turkey and pumpkin pie time is close at hand, and so Jean and I wish you the best for your family gatherings.
