Jack Russell has been appointed to the Alumni Council as the representative for classes 55-60 years out. This is a new appointment. Previously classes lost their representatives at their 55th Reunion. Congratulations, Jack, and our best wishes for a successful and rewarding term.

It is with regret that I report the loss of Thomas W. "Spec" Holmes of Grand Junction, Colo. Spec was a member of the freshmen golf team.

And now for a slighdy different approach to our class statistics. In a recent Pace Setter John Scotford reported 403 classmates alive today. From this number are deducted eight who are listed as "lost" by the Alumni Records Office and 30 who no longer are interested in receiving any mailings from the College. This leaves a count of 365.

Borrowing a term from the class of '75, "MIA" (Most Incommunicado Alumni), I would like to see if we might learn something about our eight classmates listed as 'lost.' These MlA's are William L. Bartlett, ClarkFletcher, John A. Graham, Howard B.Mickey, C. Andrew Perkins, Lewis D.Titus, Bruce Tompkin, and Arthur H.Vankirk. If any of you have any information, please let me know.

Whitey Leyrer writes from Tacoma, Wash., extolling the excellence of the 55th Pace Setter. He sees his area neighbors Morgan Marshall and Charley Keyes every so often.

From Pat Gorman, "This, I hope, will keep you from being a bad boy ..." in answer to my request for news in my initial column. He had just returned from a verysuccessful trout-fishing trip in the San Juan river country of New Mexico and spent a weekend with his old roommate, Pete Talbot, in Santa Fe. Pete had just recovered, luckily, from a serious bout with pneumococcal pneumonia—the bacterial kind! He is now back to racing his stock cars, a hobby that has taken him to Germany, New Zealand, Australia, etc.

Please Note: Our '94 mini-reunion is all set, so mark your calendars and set your travel plans to be in Hanover on Saturday, September 24, 1994. We will have our pre-game tailgate luncheon in the Facuity Club followed by the game with Pennsylvania. That evening we'll dine at the DOC.
