It seems you can't pick up a paper anywhere in the country without spotting articles about our classmates. On the West Coast recent sports section featured Charlie Hoevler on the front page. It seems Charlie entered-both the 45-and-over and the 50-and-over singles tennis championships in Mill Valley and won both divisions. Charlie said he entered both competitions to get in as many matches as possible before playing in the National Senior Championships in Huntington Beach. Charlie resides in Marin County in Ross.

In Pennsylvania a paper featured a major profile of Bob Fagan and an interview on his role as head of a new subsidiary of PP&L Resources. Last fall Bob left his job as vice president for American operations at Mission Energy in California to become president of a new company Power Markets Development.

He is using his experience with more than $2 billion in independent power development projects around the world in recent years to set up new power projects in developing countries. His first deal is a joint consortium in Bolivia, where there is an interest in privatization. Bob feels that there will continue to be increased demand for electricity in Latin America as their economies grow at a higher rate than in many other areas and that there are great opportunities to develop new facilities in the less regulated international arena.

Working on another aspect of international business is Ora McCreary, who tells me he is working in the emerging markets finance area for the Swiss Bank Group in New York. Just can't go anywhere in Manhattan without seeing a '67 on the letterhead these days.

How about sending me your news so I can share it? A postcard would be great.
