While many of us have put on the brakes (or had them put on us) in recent years, others still seem to be going fall tilt. Consider Pren Bradly. After Dartmouth he studied architecture at Harvard, made it his life work, became an authority, and an officer in the American Institute of Architects. His wife, Dorothy, writes that he has just completed a series of 14 weeks of lectures at the Institute of Texas Culture on his favorite subject, "Architecture: Mirror of Life," covering a span of 7,000 years and illustrated with pictures he took on his travels. The lectures, lasting an hour and a half, were attended by 21 adults, mostly master's and Ph.D. students. Also, Pren attends meetings of both the Dartmouth and Harvard clubs of San Antonio. Dorothy deserves commendation for keeping her boy in such prime shape.

Jerry and Rachel Sass, as usual, have been on the move. When last heard from, Rachel was coming to Washington to celebrate the 100th birthday of Rachel's aunt, who is in a nursing home here. Later they both were going to a medical convention in Honolulu for nine days. They then expected to have Ted Baehr Jr. as a house guest at their home in Rolling Hills, Calif.

Bill and Jane Ford celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on December 23 in Glenshaw, Penn., where they have been active in local affairs.

I regret to report the deaths of PaulCutler on December 10, Vic Hartjens on December 30, and Charlie Proctor on February 1.
