We lead with a report on the passing of two of our classmates. Karl Sax, who spent only his freshman year with us in Hanover, died on May 16 of last year. Parker Paul died on St. Valentine's Day of a heart problem complicated by pneumonia. (Obituaries in this or a later issue).

On the lighter side, we see EndicottSmith frequently here in Vero Beach, as he lives but a stone's throw away. He and Jeannie are getting in a fair measure of golf, along with a considerable amount of entertaining family and friends.

We had lunch in early March with Evand Ruth Woodman as a guest in their splendidly placed quarters overlooking the Atlantic, at Ocean Village in Fort Pierce, Fla. We finally made contact with FrankPerry, the owner of a sensational store for the ladies in Vero Beach titled Cosmetique. We've talked to Frank on the phone during the past eight years we've been hitting these shores, but it took a local Dartmouth club luncheon to close briefly.

Bax Prescott received a splendid citation from the American Red Cross Blood Services at the Dartmouth/Hanover-Norwich Blood Drive in late January for his many years of dedicated service.

Biddy Boswell, was planning to leave the country in mid-May, we presume for France, where she and George had spent long periods of their life together.

Your scribe and wife headed for Panama City this past January. After busing over the isthmus we went through the canal on the ship Polaris, and thence up the coast of Panama and Costa Rica, observing various colorful birds and fish, chattering white-faced monkeys, sloths, and various other beasts. We were in and out of zodiacs, on to beaches to which only Robinson Crusoe might aspire. Great trip!
