Tidbits from the latest golf outing...Luke andBetty Nims have moved into a health-care facility in Pensecola, Fla. Their Greenfield, Mass., home is on the market and Luke is hoping it doesn't sell. He still loves New England weather in the summer and fall. Bob and Claire Reeves were in Europe during the Reunion and Boband Marion Reno in London. HenryMcDuff is still having a problem with his carpal tunnell syndrome and Ben Walkley has recovered from Dupuytren's contracature on his right hand. Bill Mosenthal told me how to spell it and told me it was a hardening of a band of tissue just beneath the skin on the palm of the hand pulling on one or more of the fingers inward making it almost impossible to straighten out the affected fingers. GinnyJenkins is on the road to recovery from a knee replacement and Jean Hitchcock is back playing golf better than ever! The Jim Chandlers are selling their home in Meriden, N.H., and moving to a health-care facility in Lebanon. As we all know, life is very uncertain and occasionally is the news in this column. Last month I told of a telephone conversation I had with Roy Duckworth and his recoveiy from a round of chemotherapy treatments. . .but now it is with deep regret that I must tell you of Roy's passing on September 11th of colon cancer; and I must also tell you of the death of Hobie Rockwell, also from cancer.. .Our sympathy to both of their families! An enthusiastic group of 44 classmates and guests enjoyed another typical '38 minireunion on Saturday, October 5th. In addition to winning the football game with Fordham, the group took part in a gourmet-type dinner in Byrne Hall followed by an interesting and informative discussion on "tenure" at Dartmouth by Professor George Wolford associate dean of the faculty. It was decided to "reune" again next year on Saturday, October 4th, with the game with Cornell...So, mark your calendars accordingly!

Bud and Doris Fox, writing from San Diego requesting further information on the "mini," had the following to say, "We're fine—no problems! Have two young granddaughters, ages 4 and 7, and son's second marriage to keep up humping. Will be visiting cousins in MA. and NH in our trip East." May your Christmas be merry and bright and your New Year successful and happy.
