Joining the march into the decade of being 60 is none other than JerryMann. Last November Jerry was joined in his hometown of Chicago for the big 60th celebration by fellow '58s AlanBaker, Kurt Weglius, David Stevens, BobDowney, and a host of others. Welcome aboard, Jerry.

Talking about marching into one's 60s, Mel Croner traveled to Paris with Judy to be joined by 40-plus friends for a three-day celebration. Seems they have an apartment there where they spend five months a year when not enjoying their home in San Rafael in California.

Undaunted by his arrival in his 60s, Mel continues his work in his management consultant company as well as serving as the chairman of the board of Transcom-munications Inc., a telecommunications company located in Chattanooga, Tenn.

Joe Jacquet writes to be sure that we have the correct date for Dartmouth Night this fall and our '58 mini-reunion. Check your calendars. The correct dates are October 31 to November 2, with a football game against Harvard and a plethora of other activities both athletic and cultural.

Joe went on to say that he is doing "temp" work while continuing to look for fulltime employment. Noted that while the pay is not great it beats all of the alternatives.

The world of retirement welcomes DonMcCree to its ranks. After six years with IBJ Schroder Bank & Trust Co., Don and Patsy will enjoy the warmer climes of Florida this winter. Yes, for those of us living in the northern climes there are certain aspects of retirement which are very appealing.

I am saddened to report the sudden death of Peter Eccles shortly before Christmas. At the time of his death Peter was employed at Citibank in New York City.

Look for a fall obituary in the "Sound and the Fury." On behalf of his class, the condolences of his classmates are extended to Achla and Peter's family.
