Dick Jacob writes, "It's time for '58s to begin thinking about our 35th Reunion, june 15-17,1992, may seem a bit distant at this point, but the clock is running. So, mark off those dates on your calendar and plan to celebrate this anniversary and the last rites of spring with your classmates in Hanover. I have been able to lock in Middle Mass as our main dormitory. It was completely renovated last year, offers private bathrooms, and has abundant, convenient parking. It is also just opposite our class tent between Parkhurst and McNutt Halls.

"Your Reunion Committee is aware that '58s, like polished gourmets, expect that each reunion will offer new entrees to stimulate their social and intellectual palates. We are joined in this reunion with the classes of '57 and '56 and will be coordinating, as appropriate, joint activities."

While speaking of reunions, Joe Jacquet is putting together a mini-reunion for the Homecoming Weekend, October 25-26. Dartmouth will be hosting Cornell. If you can make it up to Hanover that weekend, plan to attend the Executive Committee meeting on Saturday morning. Our class banquet will be at the Dowd Inn on the green in Lyme that evening.

In addition to his work in real estate development and investing, Jim Orovitz has been named the chairman of the board of the Mount Sinai Medical Center of Miami Beach. The CEO of the medical center noted, "Having a second generation leader is indeed rare. It's indicative of the enormous commitment he and his family have made to continuing Mount Sinai's position as a world-class medical facility-

Dr. Don McNellis continues his work at the National Institute of Health. This spring he was given a 1991 Special Recognition Award from the United States Public Health Service for his work in clinical research. Congratulations, Don, for laboring those many long hours at an often unsung task.

Closer to my home in Riverside, BobGilges has taken on the thankless but important job of being the treasurer of the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Fairfield County, Conn. I wonder where Bob stands on an income tax for the state of Connecticut.

On your next trip to Alaska, give DaleSarles a call. Responding to the class questionnaire, he wrote "I'm still a person in formation, involved critically in discovering who I am and trying to figure out where I'm going ... and/or where I ought to be going." I must confess that similar thoughts run through my mind from time to time. The pilgrimage goes on.

A bit short this month, but I am writing this in the "dog days" of July. Time to head for the lake! You will be reading this in September, the beginning of another year. Drop a note to let me know what's going on in your life as you march through your fifties.
