From J. C. Dickson () comes the Psi U report: J. C. works as an IT (?) consultant for Price Waterhouse, ostensibly living in Tampa, Fla., with Randy Tennant '94, but has been assigned to a long-term project in Baltimore. This enables J. C. to sea kayak, watch the O's at Camden Yards, and frequent the bars of Federal Hill and Fells Point, before commuting home to the surf and sun in Tampa for the weekend. Kurt Rieke has abandoned the Big Apple and is currently somewhere between Maine and Georgia, hiking the Appalachian Trail. He plans to finish in August and then hang out in Hanover while he earns his M.B.A. at Tuck. Jon Popper still lives in N.Y.C. and works at Bassini Playfair & Associates. Sina Djafari and Peter Keuchle are presently traveling throughout Thailand and Vietnam. Sina had been working for JP Morgan in N.Y.C. since graduation and will begin an engineering master's program at Stanford this fall. The rumor is that he is the mystery man that Chelsea is following to Palo Alto. Peter Bushey has finished the first year of his M.B.A. at Northwestern. Derrick Schindler lives in Alexandria, Va., with his fiance, Kirsten Bendoritis (George Mason) and has planned a spring '98 wedding. "In fact, several weeks ago, on a sunny spring day, we put together a pong table and relived the old days." Derrick has been pouring lattes for Starbucks and teaching a Kaplan MCAT course. This fall he will enroll in medical school at either Temple or Jefferson. Jon Knisely is also in Alexandria and works for AVANT Digital Marketing. Mike Srodes has wrapped up his third year at the University of Pittsburgh Medical School. Chris Artzer married Marissa Reuter (Princeton '92). "The couple met while they were both in law school at the University of Texas. At the wedding, Peter Bushey served as best man and, surprisingly, made an excellent toast. Per his usual style, we expected an old high school lacrosse story." Jon Knisely, Brad Manuel, and Jay Decker were all groomsmen. Jay lives in Fort Worth, Tex., and works for Carlson Capital LP. Ben Bigelow abandoned the "outreaches" of Minnesota for the greener pastures of Boston last fall. He is pursuing his M.B.A. at Boston College. Also in Boston is Todd Cook; he works for Bain Capital. And lastly, Andrew Weber works for Tektronics in Portland, Ore. "As an avid runner, he's always able to include gorgeous scenery on his treks. He also loves the multitude of microbrews from the area."
From Sarah Salih (): Nicola Zesiger was married to Terry Mullen (Notre Dame) in a N.Y.C. Memorial Day weekend wedding. A bagpiper led the newlyweds and the revelers to a reception in Central Park. Nicola has just graduated from Columbia Business School. Sarah Salih, Sara Fried, Rob Simmelkjaer, Hillary Brooke, Betty Wang, Michaela Leopold '94, Adriana Popescu, and Danielle Lefkoff '94 were all in attendance. "Rob graduated from Harvard Law this spring and work at Cravath in N.Y.C.; Sarah Salih is in Capital Markets at Deutsche Morgan Grenfell; Hillary is in the marketing area at one of New York's big accounting firms; Sara Fried is at Kellogg; Betty is working in Latin American markets at JP Morgan and Adriana is still living the good life and studying out in Colorado."
From Todd Mitchell (): "What a few years after Dartmouth will bring, one would never expect. The real big news is I'm married now! My wife, Karen J. Rittenhouse Mitchell, is also a geology graduate student at W.S.U. Karen is from Kent, Minn, (near Fargo, N.D.!), and a graduate of UMinnesota Morris a nice Midwestern girl! The wedding was held August 17, 1996, in the Japanese Kabota Gardens Park in Seattle. The Dartmouth people in attendance were all NADs (Native Americans at Dartmouth): Hans Klose (best man), Rolf Dagg '94, Dezbah Mati Larson '95, Nicole Adams '94, Justin Boos '96, Nicole Redhorse '95, Ron Martinez '96, and Karl Hill '92. It was interesting seeing all of our friends together at the same time. My high school buddies, college friends, and grad school friends I wish I could have a party like that every once in a while." Todd and Karen will both have a master's in geology just as soon as they finish their respective theses. Keep the letters and e-mail rolling! Enjoy the sun.
