Many thanks to you guys and gals who sent me get-well cards, fetters, and phone calls when you heard of my first stay in the hospital. I had a second stay in May and must return therein August for surgery that, together with radiation and chemothera- py treatments, will hopefully take care of my problems.

Congratulations to Mary and Bob Engelman on their second great-grandson, Carson William Rhoads, whose grandfather was a '6l. That makes three great-grandchildren and 18 grandchildren. Sounds tops to me—can anyone beat that?

Lois Frankel had brunch at the Inn with her daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and John Reese and the football team's outstanding center Dominic Lanza '98, He was the Moe L. Frankel scholarship student this year and also selected as a GTE first-team academic All-American, the only Ivy Leaguer represented this year and the first Dartmouth player so honored since 1994.

Bob Offenbach advises that Helene, who has been in nursing homes for 25 years, passed away last September 18 from a stroke. Bob and Millie were married on May 10. Bob keeps occupied working three days a week at Management Recruiters in Boston, but the Offenbachs spend the four winter months in Delray Beach, Fla.

Marge and Bob Griffin didn't get to Vero Beach this past winter (neither did we) but spent time in Naples on the west coast where they saw Jane Daniells, Stan Silverman, and Irja and Bill Wilson.

Randy Klinefelter had a chance meeting with Susanne Heston, sister of the late Herb Heston, Randy's roommate. She was on a shopping trip to Ephrata, Pa., where Randy and Isobel live. She asked a store employee if he knew him, got his phone number, and they got together for a nice visit. Herb's widow, Molly, still lives in Warrenton, Va.

Jeff Jackson writes that Bob Foster passed away on March 15. We also learned of the death of Wolcott Robinson in that same month. Our most sincere sympathy to the families of both.
