REUNION, REUNION, REUNION! Friday, June 18, to Sunday, June 20, 1999. We'll be joining the '89s and '90s (which was planned all along, contrary to what some people think!). CaitlinGagnon is our nominating committee chair, in charge of finding our next class officers. If you are interested in a position, contact Caitlin at 4 Cameron Court, Basking Ridge, NT 07920. She is searching for a president, vice president, newsletter editor, secretary, mini-reunion chairs, treasurer, and class project and executive committee members at large.
Eva Pfosi Merriam lives outside of Stowe, Vt., where she dabbles in the ski business but spends most of her time raising Lucy and Hannah, ages 4 and 2. They live the country life on a dirt road with gardens and a backyard pond. They have the best of both worlds: the mountains are their entertainment, but Burlington and an international airport are less than an hour away.
Bill Pikounis and Nicole Sakowitz report that their son Ari is now seven months old, has seven teeth, and is a wonderful, exquisitely beautiful love. He'll be starting day care at the on-site center where Nicole works very soon. They have moved to a lovely home (on a mountain, in the woods) in the town of Warren, N.J., giving them both a better commute, a lot more space, a superb school system, and more.
Bill Storo and his wife, Regina, just had their third child, Katharine Elizabeth (a girl after two boys—who love her to death), on August 19, 1998. She is a true angel of a baby. Bill is a pediatrician at the Hitchcock Clinic in Concord, N.H. They see PhilSchumm, wife Beth, and son Matthew regularly. Phil and his family live in Chicago, where Phil has completed his master's in statistics and is nearing completion of his Ph.D. in sociology (11 years in coming now, just that little old thesis to complete). Rumor has it that Dartmouth's sociology department as well as UVM are trying to lure Phil back out East. Bill hopes to have Mike Andrews and his wife, Linda (and baby by that time—they're expecting), stay with them for Reunion, given that London is a bit too far of a commute. The Storos spent an evening with Nick and Dianne (Menard) Young and their daughter Melanie last fall. The Youngs are moving soon to a bigger house. Jim and Kelly (Aldrich) Ouellette, with their sons Kevin and Eric, are doing well; the Storos see them a few times each year.
Kris Petterson has lived in a suburb of Orlando, Fla., for the past eight years. She is creative director of Pace Products, where she has worked for three and a half years. Pace develops children's books on a work-for-hire basis for companies such as Scholastic, Disney, Troll, and Avon. Kris has been lucky enough to write many books, and now has 20 or 30 published children's books to her name. Pace seldom sells through bookstores (mostly school book clubs and fairs), so you won't see her books in the local Barnes & Noble. Kris will marry MichaelHirschmann in March 1999. They recently purchased a home together (Kris's second foray through that nightmare—interestingly, a house located two blocks from the house in which Angela Cross grew up) and have worked themselves to the bone trying to simultaneously fix up the house and plan the wedding. After all that planning, they'll honeymoon for a week in St. Lucia.
Adam Usadi, class webmeister, reported that his daughter, Lillian Ngo Usadi, was born November 29, 1998. He posted a picture on his web page: .
