Frank "Pete" Power reports from Port Richey, Florida, that he and Helen are still around and in fair health, he at 91 and she at 89. Last November they celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary. Write me if you can beat that. We're only up to 64. He was the first of the Power clan to discover Dartmouth but has been followed by a brother, son, niece and two granddaughters. Dorothy (Mrs. Charles) Meyers says a few of her 1940 class at Cornell University-New York Hospital are still hanging on. Don Marcus, my predecessor as 1932 scribe, puts in a strong vote to perpetuate this column and the newsletter. He is still living by himself at Cape Cod but all his doctors keep him from being lonely. Son Don and family are in London, where he is a movie writer and producer.
In the sadness department, Bill Lieson's wife of 60 years, Dottie, died last June 30. She had Alzheimer's for more than 15 years, the last six in a local nursing home, where she had received good care, was content and always smiling. The family is grieving but relieved. We extend our condolences together with our thanks to Bill for his continued great performance as our class agent.
