Shortly after the big hurricane hit Punta Gorda, Florida, in August I talked with Phyllis England, who spends the winter in her place there. I'm happy to report that she had word of very little damage to her condo, consisting mainly of problems with screens and fencing. I'd say she was very fortunate to have so little damage, and I hope that area is not hit by any more big storms.

Back in mid-July Bob Button had a stroke which affected his left arm and leg. In mid-August he is still in rehab, but making good progress. We hope that by the time you read this he will be back entertaining us with his piano playing and Big Band music.

When Boyce Price had his colon operation last spring the operating room was so busy that he had to wait three days to get in—all that time spent on a liquid diet. Not surprisingly, he lost quite a bit of weight, but has since managed to put it back on. He says that he is a little slower than he used to be but otherwise is able to do most of the things he did before.

Bill Fosters widow, Dede, has moved to Thornton Oaks, a retirement community in Brunswick. Her new address is: 25 Thornton Way #217, Brunswick, ME 04011.

I received word from Dr. Bill Stimson's widow that he passed away on March 30. We extend our condolences to her and their children.

I hope some of you had an enjoyable summer. Here in Maine the feeling was that it never really happened—too many clouds and too much fog. If you did have an interesting summer, or are planning a big trip this winter, do let us know. In the meantime, happy holidays!
