Jean and I are still living happily in our humble "honeymoon suite" (so named by Dick Holt!) here in the Sheraton Hotel in Springfield. Progress in restoring our home is not moving as quickly as we were led to believe but, what the he—, we are learning to live with it. Why do insurance companies move so slowly—and ask so many questions?!

We recently returned from our annual trip to Las Vegas—who says it doesn't rain in the desert! Our first day there it was like monsoon season! Had a great time, ate well, lost begrudgingly and returned safely!

Gift planning chair Bob Reeve reports that during the fourth quarter of fiscal 2003, a classmate made an addition to his three charitable remainder trusts totaling $8,246.11, which will eventually benefit the Tuck School. For more information regarding bequest provisions and life income trusts, write or call the Dartmouth Gift Planning Office at (800) 451-4067 or call Bob at (603) 643-1919 or (305) 367-2139.

Bob Mussey writes: "We are going to have a family reunion in Salem, Massachusetts, over Thanksgiving. Son Robert is a conservator of furniture, especially antiques. He has become enamored of that made by john Seymour and his first son, Thomas, who worked in Boston the last part of the 18th century and the first of the 19th century. He has arranged for a display of about 60 pieces in the Maritime Museum of Salem for a few months beginning this November. There will probably be 20 or 30 of us gathering for Thanks- giving to visit the museum and other historical places and welcome Robert's book about the Seymours (seven years in the writing)." Thanks, Bob, for the news!
