Spring is here, and with it, rebirth and renewal. For that reason much of the following column includes word of new arrivals and rekindling friendships made on the Hanover Plain. Lauren Beiley missed our 15th because she was busy giving birth to twins. Michael and Samantha were born on June 6 of last year to go along with 2-year-old Jessica. Lauren works at home as a full-time mom on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, but she and husband David are looking to move back to Miami. She's sees Elizabeth Maringer in the neighborhood quite often.

Staying on twin patrol, Mike Kanarick and his wife, Liz, now have 20 tiny toes to tickle! Neil and Rae arrived on Decembers at 34 weeks. The Kanaricks live in Birmingham, Alabama, where Liz is a visiting law professor at Samford University's Cumberland School of Law. Mike's full-time political job is executive director of the Alabama Democratic Party (yes, there are some Dems in Alabama). For parenting advice, he turns to Peter Goldstein in San Francisco.

Jonathan Sullivan lives outside Washington, D.C., with his wife, Cindy (Duke '90), son Timothy (2) and dog Yuki. Jonathan and Cindy are expecting a daughter just about the time you're reading this. Jonathan is a senior (IT) analyst at Fannie Mae, where he is working on next generation mortgage processing software, and he's now president of the Dartmouth Club ofWashington, D.C. Fellow classmate Bill Wilson also works at Fannie Mae. Jonathan writes: "I have been very fortunate to have some of my closest friends from Dartmouth here in D.C.: Hunter Labovitz, Brad Lang, Ramzi Nemo and Derek Symer.

Bill Fearon and his wife, Yvonne, live in San Francisco and now have two girls, Katie (3) and Nina (1). Both are on the faculty at Stanford (Bill and Yvonne, not the girls); Yvonne is a reconstructive plastic surgeon and Bill is an interventional cardiologist. The Fearons often find themselves hanging out with other Bay Area classmates with small kids, such as Bill Gaylord, Brian Bohlig, Todd Tracey, Jake Reynolds, Tim McAdam and Mike Seifer.

Rob Crawford is director of development at The Park School (N-9) in Brookline, Massachusetts, where his oldest son, Robert, attends kindergarten. Benjamin (3) and Elizabeth (1) are right behind him. His wife, Meg, is a pediatrician in Framingham, Massachusetts. As it turns out Robs early musical stylings with Second Hand Jam and the Aires were harbingers of things to come. Last fall he co-wrote and recorded a song about the Red Sox under the alias Crawdaddy and the Cursebusters titled, "Tell 'Em We're Comin' And Hell's Comin' With Us," and it was played over the loudspeakers at Fenway Park prior to home playoff games. Ifyou'd like a copy of the CD single, send him an e-mail at robertlcrawford@yahoo.com.

Finally, Rob, Bill Levin, Matt Schmitz, Cheryl Shepard, Matt Greene and I were in attendance for the 10th anniversary celebration of the Dartmouth Partners in Community Service. In short, DPCS is a partnership between alumni and the Tucker Foundation aimed at matching Dartmouth undergrads with community service organizations around the country. It is also our class project and a worthy one at that. Look to our Web site www.dartmouth90.org and this column for more news on DPCS. That's all from West Hartford Connecticut. May your sunsets be long and romantic and your driver long and straight this summer.
