Winter Carnival this year with the theme Peter Pans Never Land, saw Captain Hook's pirate ship as the big snow sculpture on the Green—one of the better ones in recent years. Dartmouth skiing placed second to UVM, where they had won a few weeks earlier.

We were recently informed of Dr. Paul Vollmer's death in Chevy Chase, Maryland, last May. Rip called Paul's daughter, Deborah, and they had a pleasant phone visit.
