Whenyou read this, our 55th reunion will have come and gone. The lead time for this DAM column is about six weeks. So, you'll have to wait until the next issue, in mid-August, for coverage of the gala event. At this writing in late April, we expect about200 classmates, wives and others for the fun-and-games. More to come.

Many of you are aware of the new 1950 outreach program. Initiated by Bob Mcllwain, past class president, it's designed to alert class members of problems affecting a classmate or his family (e.g., health, deaths and others). The program is up and running, and it's managed by Rose Mary, Walt Lindenthal's wife.Ro is assisted in communicating with classmates by David Taylor, the class Webmaster. If you are not receiving e-mails from David and want to be on the mailing list, his address is david.j.taylor@valley.net; Rose Marys is rlindy@valley.net.

A news release tells us that Cul Modisette has been named chairman of the Scantic River Watershed Association. The Scantic River group is currently engaged in the writing and publication of the first river guide for the Scantic, which rises in the hills of Stafford, Connecticut, and joins the Connecticut River in South Windsor. The association is also cooperating with the State of Connecticut in the preservation of a green way the length of the river.

I hope your summer is going well.
