Jim Hamilton, like many Dartmouth students of the 1960s and before, is a great admirer of Herbert Faulkner West '26, professor of comparative literature. In addition to Herbs teaching, he was the author of fascinating books and articles on a wide variety of subjects, including his Farewell Address. Jim has obtained permission to have a couple of Herb's works as well as his bibliography reprinted. He made a preliminary report on this at the class of'6s executive committee meeting this July and will present a proposal for the class to sponsor this endeavor at the class meeting during the mini-reunion in Hanover October 13 to 15.

Ken thanked Bill and Sue Webster for their hosting of the executive committee meeting and recalled that this is the 21st of these meetings hosted by the Websters. Tom Morton continues to reside in Santa Cruz, California. He retired January 1 and enjoys working around the house, traveling and doing "what I want."
Paul Pickrel, another retiree, is living and golfing regularly in Bellevue, Nebraska. He has enjoyed the opportunity to visit the grandchildren in Maryland earlier this year. He also attended the Pickrel family reunion.
Deane Mosher is among classmates who continue hard at work. He is professor of medicine, section of hematology and hematopoietic stem cell transplant at the University of Wisconsin. In addition to his clinical and research work he has been a graduate student trainer in the University of Wisconsin medical scientist training program since its formation in 1986. He became director in 1999. He still finds time to ski cross country, including a trip to Norway last March.
Wood hall "Sandy" Stopford is assistant clinical professor, community and family medicine at Duke University Medical Center. His professional interests are occupational and environmental health and toxicology, including the safety of consumer products, as well as risk assessment of chemicals that might be used in terrorist activities. This involves both research and patient care in these areas. His wife, Carolyn, is an immunologist who retired from practice to be home with their children. She recently won a trip to Costa Rica from their public radio station. Sandy and Carolyn have a son who graduated from Duke and daughter Amy is a current student and excellent field hockey player.
