Pru and Harry Gilmore are leaving their Maine home for their Hilton Head, S.C., home on September 22. He is not sure whether they can make our 65th Reunion in June of '99, but, if I know Gillie, he will make every effort to be there. A nice note from Sarah Slechta saying that life has not changed much for her in the ten years since her husband Joe's death. She always reads the Dartmouth AlumniMagazine with considerable interest as it keeps her in touch with things which were important to Joe.
Received a letter from Dave Oberlander '55 enclosing an article written by our own John Anderson which appeared in the Houston Chronicle. Dave wrote a book, Swede:The Will to Win—about his father and the famous football team of 1924-1925, Big Green's first and only national football championship. If any of you football fanatics want a copy of this 120-page softcover book, it can be purchased directly for $10, including first-class mailing. Send check to David Oberlander at 2419 Little Creek Drive, Richardson, TX 75080-2512. It has several photos, including Swede and Coach Jess Hawley and describes his whole life in football coaching, family life, and his career as a medical director. He died 30 years ago at age 62. Because of space we will not be able to tell you about John Anderson's story until next month. We have several new addresses to give you. Brice Banks is now at 42 Hillcrest Meadows, Rolling Hills East, CA 90274 .and Dr. Charles Levesque at Normandy Farms Estates, 6304 Twin Silo Drive, Blue Bell, PA 19422.
We extend our sympathy to the family of Seymour Ballard Dunn, who passed away on June 30, 1998, and to Brice Banks, who recently lost his wife, Katie.
Don't forget to mark on your calendar that our 65th Reunion is Friday, June 11, to Sunday noon, June 13, 1999.
