Our 1936 endowed scholar is Jonathan Sheller 09 of Mason City, lowa. He is a Rufus Choate Scholar. This past winter he was involved in a Tucker Foundation Nicaragua crosscultural exchange program. We hope to hear more about this young man in the future.
I called Bill Crangle a while ago only to find that he is slowed down considerably by health problems. The latest is a swelling of his legs, which his doctors believe is caused by medication—the question is which one. I hope that by the time you read this, they will have discovered which one and the problem will have been solved.
I talked with Phyllis England recently and found that she is in an assisted living community in Durham, New Hampshire. She has children living not too far away, so she has transportation to doctors' appointments, etc. I am also in an assisted living community but have no family in the area. However, I can arrange for transportation as needed through the office, and as is the case in Phyllis's facility, we do get three meals a day.
Recent word from the College informed of the death of Walter Kadlec. We offer our sympathies to his family.
