REX FELTON
By this time every member of the class has heard from our treasurer, Rod. It seems difficult to believe that three years have passed since we were asked to pay some class dues. But they have. I think that this is a very appropriate time for a mention of dues. We have just proved again what a loyal class we are. In this issue we see the results of the 1950 Alumni Fund drive. 1945 is once again at the top of the list. I am proud to be a member of our class and I know each one of you is too. I have already sent my check for $4.00 dues to Rod. If you have put it off, why not do it now?
And here is some news we have all been waiting for. 1945 will hold its first Hanover reunion next June. Plan now to meet there June 22, 23 and 24. Sam Cutler has consented to be our Reunion Chairman. Already ,Saro is at work making his plans and naming his committees. Many of you will want to help. Write to Sam at Middlesex School, Concord, Mass.
The "Senator" has gone and done it. JimKnowles got married. The lucky girl was the former Helen McNicol of Clarksburg, W. Va. The wedding took place October 21, 1950. Helen is a graduate of Mt. De Chantel Academy and Dumbarton College. Jim is a partner in the law firm of Highland and Knowles of Clarksburg. A stop-over in Hanover was accomplished during the honeymoon.
George Rice and Catherine Foltz were married last June in Greensburg, Pa. Mrs. Rice attended the Greensburg High School, Setoro Hill College and William and Mary. She also received a Master's in psychology at Penn State.
Rog Brown, one of our Hanover representa- tives, and Barbara Schulz were also married last June. (I told you once before that I have enough material for a dozen columns.) Barbara is a Smith gal; They are living in their new home in Norwich, Vt.
Another June wedding was that of Dr.Bob O'Connor and Eileen McDermott. Eileen was graduated from Villa Maria Academy and Manhattanville College. Bob had just completed his internship at the Lenox Hill Hospital in New York.
John Tobias and Ann Niehaus also chose popular June to announce their engagement. They planned to be married by now. Maybe I'll have an account of the wedding for the June 1951 Reunion. Ann is a graduate of Western College for Women in Oxford, Ohio.
Bruce Symonds and Jane Balderston Cadbury were married in June (1950, that is). Jane is a practicing pediatrician in Manchester, N. H. where Bruce is in the advertising department of the Ralston Purina Co.
Those o£ you who are getting the MAGAZINE for the first time are invited to send your $4.00 dues to Rod to insure getting every copy in the future.
