We old-timers were astounded by the exuberant activity all summer long among the undergraduates and recent grads. Some of them are still convalescing after a steady average of at least one terrific party per week. Even though these young fellows made us sharply aware of our spreading bald spots and rising blood pressure, we were still very pleased to welcome them into our group. We would also like to salute the swell bunch of freshmen entering Dartmouth this year from our area.
Our weekly luncheons seem to get better and better as new faces continue to appear, supplementing Abe Winslow's old gang. Several special guests honored us with their presence during the summer months, including Rudy Pacht '35 of Hollywood, and one official visitor from Hanover, Professor Tony Raven '37h.
By the time this is printed many of us will be enjoying the wonderful lodge built by our local Outing Club chapter near Lake Tahoe. The facilities are excellent and the skiing terrific.
