Freddie Welch had an article in the June Engineering News and the September CivilEngineering on the value of the GurleyTransit in surveying land. Freddie is planning to be at our reunion in June.

Arthur Meservey is back on the job after having made a good recovery from an operation this summer.
Craw Bishop writes from Japan that Tokyo is a different city from what it was in 1946. The city has taken on a more normal and peaceful appearance and the people appear more cheerful and better dressed. Craw feels that the Japanese are eager to learn the ways of democracy and Christianity.
On their way South for the winter, Grace and Con Chellis stopped over in South Carolina to visit their grandson born on September
4. Bill Page and his wife were in Hanover for a few days the last of September.
Harold Rugg is back in Hanover after spending some time in the deserts of New Mexico. Says the climate and scenery were excellent but the food very poor.
Joe Cushing was in Hanover for the Fordham game but couldn't make the Boston dinner as he had appointments in Ottawa.
Henry Ladd is making good progress after his recent operation. Has put on weight and is able to work in his garden.
The Chapins, Kingsburys and Milhams and Joe Nuelle and his daughter were seen at the Army game in West Point.
